FAQs

Where did you get the name Better Day Bernedoodles?

The credit goes to our daughter, Savannah. There’s a story. After hard day and a few tears, Savannah was sitting on the floor. Our dog, Stella, came to comfort her and lay next to her. Stella put her head on Savannah’s lap. A smile emerged on Savannah’s face, and she said to me, “Mom, every day is better when you have a Bernedoodle.” And that’s how both my mission and the name - Better Day Bernedoodles - were created! I want to make every day better.

Why choose a dog from Better Day Bernedoodles?

I’m not your typical breeder! My mission is to make your life and home better by providing a healthy, well-adjusted, affectionate, and trainable mini-Bernedoodle. My dog, Stella, has been a great addition to our family, and I want you to have the same experience. I treat every puppy with intentional training and personalized care. Plus, I work with each family for the right match.

How do you raise your puppies?

Every puppy is special to me. I raise the puppies in my home as if they were going to join our family. From nearly 24-hour care in the first two weeks, Early Neurological Stimulation, creative play sessions, exposure to surfaces and sounds, to interactions with a variety of people, I strive to raise a well-adjusted puppy. Additionally, I start pee-pad training to get your potty training off to a good start.

What type of health-related care does our puppy receive? Do you offer a health guarantee?

I take healthy puppies seriously. Prior to breeding, all dogs are tested and must have certified hips, elbows, eyes, and heart. Puppies are weighed twice a day to monitor their growth. They receive two visits from a veterinarian for health checks and the first round of vaccinations. I also disinfect play and sleeping areas every day, along with providing all recommended medicines. Every puppy comes with a one year health guarantee.

What sizes and generations do you breed?

I breed FlB mini-Bernedoodles from a standard Bernedoodle and a toy poodle. As you’ll see in the pictures, many of my puppies are tri-color. The size is hard to predict specifically, but the puppies tend to range between 25- 50 lbs when fully grown.

What type of puppy updates will we receive during the process?

Following the journey is part of the fun! I actively post (nearly every day) on Facebook and Instagram. Whether it’s a few pictures or a short video, you’ll be able to see the puppies grow, develop, play, and learn. Deposited families receive regular updates via email, and I schedule in person or virtual visits prior to pick day in order to narrow your selection.

When and how do I pick up my puppy?

After making a $500 deposit, you’re given a pick spot (e.g., “Pick #3”). During week six, you’ll schedule a time to meet the litter and make your choice. The puppies are placed in their forever homes in the eighth week. We’ll set up a pick-up day appointment where you’ll pay the balance due and micro-chip registration fee. After a final picture, it’s time to start your new life together.
